Strawberry Shortcake Ad Outline

Introduction:
-Story of how I always wanted a Strawberry Shortcake Doll, but my mom wouldn't let me have one.
-Now after 15 years I am glad she didn't get me one because I find them problematic for little girls due to the dolls depiction of young girls.

Main Point 1: Little girls are depicted as smelling "delicious", which be problematic for little girls normalizing being "smelt".
-The bold text tells the audience that the dolls smell "delicious".
-Encourages kids to smell the dolls, normalizing smelling females.

Main Point 2: Encourages girls to partake in traditional nuclear family female roles.
-Traditional female colors and outfits
-The text encourages stereotypical girl activities such as baking and picnicking.

Main Point 3:The male adult figure is depicted as a dominating male power figure of these little girl dolls.
-Appearance: evil-looking, crow, mustache, significantly taller than the rest, dark colors
-Only male figure

Conclusion:
-Summary of points connected with introduction
-Despite their seemingly innocent demeanor, these dolls are potentially problematic for little girls in how they are advertised.

  1. The intro is a bop. Yay for woke moms. Your main points are very calculated and whole, they elevate your argument so nicely. I feel like you could throw some weird Freud stuff in here for some reason. Maybe add a "so what" factor to this.
