"No, I"M the more credible Celebrity Gossip News Reporter!"

In a quite interesting post from a gossip blog specifically designed to take down other gossip blogs, we see several fallacies from the start as the website aggressively tries to attack a celebrity news blog on their wrongly reported story on Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

1. "Hasty Generalization".
We see this fallacy evident when the post states, "It’s clear this is a website that does not value accuracy and ethical reporting. It’s just as clear that the outlet does not have any genuine insight on Shelton and Stefani’s relationship, despite being featured prominently in search results."
They are making the generalization that Celebrity Insider does not value certain attribute such as accuracy and ethics, but only use one story as proof. If they were to reference several more examples where they have failed, then perhaps this accusation would be taken ore seriously (even though we all know Celebrity Insider is no credible source, the argument here is still unsupported).

2. "Ad Hominem"
We see GossipCop begin to describe Celebrity Insider as "uninformed" and use unpleasant language like "regurgitated" to describe their work in a clear attempt to attack the blog before even using their actual evidence that the blog is not credible.

3. "Appeal to Misleading Authority"
Finally, GossipCop has an interesting way of asserting that they were originally correct in their own reporting on the topic of the celebrity couple. They state multiple times as they "disprove" Celebrity Insider that they were right from the beginning and their reporting was done first. This is done in attempt to position themselves as the authority in reporting and that their competitor is consistently their lesser.
