Fisher Price Ad Speech Outline
Open with discussing the title and work down the ad (as one’s eyes would do naturally when seeing this ad for the first time
  • ·         Title

o   Large, bold text attracts vision, then it works downward
  • ·         Space

o   The space is very closed, giving the feeling of being in a small town
  • ·         Frame

o   The frame is extremely full and allows for the close knit feeling
  • ·         Focal-Point

o   The neighborhood being the focal-point pushes the idea of family
  • ·         Eye-Level

o   With everything being eye-level, we are able to examine everything at once
  • ·         Colors

o   The colors used are very warm and welcoming
  • ·         Balance

o   The image is fairly symmetrical and balanced from left to right
  • ·         Terminology

o   “Little People” opens the doors to children of all backgrounds


Close the presentation with any questions for discussion and how this could possibly affect parents’ choices of toys for their children

  1. I like how you set up the flow of your speech with visually going down the ad. I think that is a unique way to do it. I would like to know what you are mainly arguing about in the ad. I think you have the content to back it up I just think you should make it a little more clear what exactly you are arguing. You have sub arguments, but what are your main arguments? Also I think it would be good to have a conclusion that wrapped up all of your main points instead of just breaking for questions. Also make sure you include an introduction and transitions so you don't get up there and just list your main points.

  2. I see a clear direction of how you will approach the overall analysis of the advertisement. Adding on more subpoints to your sections would help you out a bit though, giving you some more to work with and give deeper intel to the audience. By doing so make sure to have some transition of some sort to segment off each point into the next that you really want to make clear of. I also agree with Mikhayla that adding in a true conclusion will enhance the whole overall essence of what you are reveling to the audience.
