Lando not Solo Celebitchy

I don't know if Solo will be a good movie but judging the trailer is something that we can do now its out. So, how do we go about breaking down the trailer? We bash it, the actors, and Disney just because.

1. Poisoning the well
Alden Ehrenreich can’t act and the script is terrible

Before the movie comes out the script is terrible. Plus Star Wars is known for memorable lines like "I hate sand" the Star Wars movies don't have amazing writing but moments like Darth Vader reveling he is Luke's father is rememberer and dramatic. A better way to make this point would to warn the view of the track record Star Wars has then asserting it.

2.Unrepresentative Sample
If Alden can pull off even half of Harrison Ford’s cocky charm, this will make a billion dollars. Oh, and this is the just-released full-length trailer

The few scenes the trailer shows is not a large enough sample to judge all the actor does in the movie and even so it can be re shot.

3.Anecdotal Fallacy
It looks good. But let’s be honest: LucasFilm/Disney knows how to cut a good trailer. I would be shocked if the final movie included every scene that we see here.

Because Solo is coming from Lucas Films the trailer looks nice and maybe the final movie won't have every scene. It is not evidence that Solo is a bad film they are just saying the trailer is good and somethings may not make the cut there is nothing malicious about that.
