In the article "Undecided Democratic Senator calls for the Senate to Censure Trump" I was able to identify two fallacies that is on the Fallacy Files taxonomy that Dr. Vrooman linked the class to. Two of the fallacies used in this article are redefinition and bad reasoning fallacy. In the article, the word "appetite" is used in a abnormal way than typically used. Typically appetite is made in a reference to food, yet in this article the question of, "... was there any appetite" is meant to be used as if there was any possibility and/or interest. As readers continue in the article, another fallacy can be found and is addressed. Manchin calls out Trump's lawyer for a bad reasoning fallacy over the lawyers argument that "the President can do no wrong if it's good for his reelection". Manchin says that the reason for the lawyers argument is bad leading to the argument being false.
