AD Outline draft

INTRO

Attention getter- Thanks for showing up! not really you messed up my plan for a free 100.

Topic/thesis- What does this ad want us to get out of it?

Credibility- So from the many minutes I looked at this ad.

Preview- I can tell you all about the schemes, tropes, and Visuals this ad provides.

Transition- So first all the schemes I have

SCHEMES

Tmesis- Tiger-ri-iffic and Gr-r-reat, explain that it emphasizes how good.

                             Now onto Tropes

TROPES

hyperbole- "The world's favorite kind" (I would have to agree), The best to you each morning (my toilet disagrees)

Now we reach the good part

VISUALS

Closed- Milk is off-page and everything is close to the border.

Low contrast- keeps this ad a steady orange-yellow to match the vibe of the tiger.

all caps- They put in all caps the cereal name, his name, and titles in the ad.

Icons- the tiger

Abstract- should we talk about the tiger holding 205 with 1 finger or how the banana is in the cereal?

So now that we have covered the schemes, tropes, and visuals

CONCLUSION

We can go back to the question, what does this ad want us to get from this?

I say to show us how strong we can become and how flavorful those big brawny flakes of corn are. We still don’t care for the banana.

We can thank Vroomans chart and the ad itself for this grrrreat presentation.

  1. Looks like you've got the outline principles down from the book. I don't see too much of an argument here or the references. Dr. Vrooman wants those citations!

  2. You did a great job hitting the main requirement points while keeping it as clear and concise as possible, which in the long run will make it easier for you to not read word-for-word off of your paper! Just don't forget to include a clear thesis, clincher, and citations then you should be good to go!

  3. Hey Rickey, this is a great outline, especially your outline (definitely going to polarize the room) I think some small changes is to clearly define your thesis and argumentative points. Also add your citations! A good clincher would also go a good mile.

  4. I think it's a super good base outline for your presentation, if you plan to speak alot from off of the top of your head i think this could be good that way you don't have much to look down at and keep you from looking at the crowd. Great job.
