Toolbox Data

For my Anti Prop 8 Social movement, I will definitely be using toolbox 11 that discusses intersectionality for my movement. Not only is this relevant to the situation as it talks about the Anti Prop 8 movement, but it is also a good secondary source to use to discuss some things that should not be said during this rally so that it does not undermine one group of people. It talks about the statement of, "Gay is the black" which has good intentions to it, but it undermines what black people went through as it was not necessarily the same thing and it makes it sound like black people no longer have problems of their own.

This is just one toolbox tool I will be using those as this describes a situation that occurred with the movement and not the movement itself. I will need to find a primary source discussing the Anti Prop 8 movement to get more information for my project overall. Toolbox 11, the one that discusses the "Gay is the new black" is a great way to discuss intersectionality though, and how it relates to the movement overall.
