The main thesis I would come up with for this ad is, TWA doesn’t care where you go, or if you get a divorce before you decide on plans, just be sure to take TWA for all your flying needs! I mean it is humorous that they are arguing, yet all TWA cares about is if you take their planes to get there.
ReplyDeleteThe thesis for this ad seems to be saying that although couples/the opposite sexes in general are going to argue and that's normal, TWA will be there to help, so you should travel with them. The image is kind of funny, so they want people to see it and relate to it. Both the man and woman look humorously frustrated that the other just doesn't understand what they want, so it's also kind of contributing to the idea that men and women in general have very different interests.
ReplyDeleteTWA understands that despite the facade of perfect atomic households in this era, disputes do happen realistically, and they are ready to take your money for their services regardless of the circumstances. The arguing couple could either use the airline to make a split or find compromise, but they should be flying TWA.
