Speech Outline "THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN"

INTRO:
-Anyone with a brother knows about all the latest action figures and superheroes, unless my brother just actually thought I was listening to him when we were kids. Regardless, you had to seem interested until he finally walked away to resume playing with his stupid toy.

BODY:
Schemes: abbreviation
- the use of trademark symbol

Tropes: Hyperbole
-using words to exaggerate the awesomeness of this new toy!!!

Visual: Oblique
-image is unstable and the most important figure is much larger than the rest.

Closed
- The Ad is very full with images and words, highlights the importance of the figure.

Longshots
-The largest image is the most important. The size difference draws in potential consumers to buy that one. Of course any young kid is going to want the BIGGEST and BEST toy.

Hue
-American themed color way throughout the entire Ad. Because whats more manly than supporting your country, and learning at a young age that you must go to war and resort to violence in every situation.

Type: Style
- Bold and all caps letters draw in the potential consumer a little bit more. The use of frequent red words, really makes people focus in on very important details.

CONCLUSION:
Was this Ad effective?

  1. I like how you set it up. It flows well like a speech with clearly stating what is your intro, main points and conclusion. I think the only thing you would need to add is transitions. Also, make sure you are not just listing your main points, but making them flow like a speech. I think also it would be good to have the conclusion sum up the points you made during the speech. I also feel like the conclusion also seems to cut it off a little short. I think the question you ask is good, but add a little more to that to make it end on a smooth note and not abruptly.

  2. There is a great setup for yourself going forward. The structure of the outline as a whole gives you enough to work with and implement what else would help the efficiency. Adding subpoints throughout the parts of your divided sections will give you some more to elaborate on and be more thorough throughout presentation. That would be enough to add on, while also giving your main points from each section a strong/reiterated tone as well.
