Identification - Kenneth Burke
By identifying the experiences of undocumented youth, advocates are able to convey to the public the realities of being an "illegal immigrant". These realities include restrictions, the absence of responsibility (if brought illegally to the U.S. by parents), the dedication of these undocumented youth to the American Dream, and the repercussions of deportation of undocumented youth or their families.
