  2. A thesis that I would suggest would be:

By incorporating rhetorical elements such as presence and definition in addition to utilizing fallacies including an unrepresentative sample and appeal to ignorance, the author of this Bigfoot sighting report is able to draw his audience closer to his story, add more depth to the details and events of the sighting, and is attempting to cement his experience as being unique from other claims of Bigfoot sightings.

You've done some great stuff so far! You've already identified many of the elements from the P-OT chart, as well as noted examples. I didn't see a link to your chosen story, but based on what you've provided at the time, I think a thesis focusing maybe on how the writer focused on details for his story would be good to consider. He centered around making his story feel up close as well as appealing to the imagination by using illustration. This seems to be a key aspect of the writer's claim. Good Luck! You got this!

  4. You did an amazing job at finding elements from the chart. The examples you choose were also very good and I think will help you with your thesis. The author went into a lot of detail and from the examples you choose really made me feel like I was in a story telling and I think that can also be beneficial to you when finding a thesis. Like Devin Said you got this! I am looking forward to your presentation and hearing on what thesis you come up with. You picked a great report.

  5. Thesis Comment: This story seems like one that really puts you in the authors shoes! This may be the way you describe how the author makes her claims believable. I don't want to sound repetitive with other comments, but its true that through their descriptions they really draw out emotion to make the reader feel as though there's no other logic behind why it couldn't be real.
