Black Power Movement.

Started after a young man by the name of James Meredith who would become the first African American to attend the University of Mississippi. He was shot but not killed. He was trying to complete his peaceful protest from Memphis Tennessee to Mississippi. Leaders Like Martin Luther King Jr. and Fredrick Mckissick believed that his march should be finished.
The black power movement brought the  emergence of the black panthers and different leaders. However they all believed in equality among blacks and racial pride. They used signs, organizations, peaceful and violent protest to get their ways. Overall this description will show the effect and the success of the black power movement.
