Ad Analysis Outline Rough Draft

 

                   Intro/ Attention getter: Did you know Benjamin Franklin was the related to the Folger family? (via Huff Post)

Folger's is a very mundane/ boring name- lead into why they would need a spontaneous ad such as lightning striking a house to get a viewer's attention. 

                   Connect the comic/scattered-like structure of the ad with the scattered story being presented by Folgers 

                  Lead into rhetorical devices found in ad// explain who those rhetorical devices identify as the companies "target market"

                   Connect rhetorical devices to "bigger picture" / motivation behind the ad (besides selling more coffee)

                    Conclude with success of company/ reasons why they are still prominent in the coffee industry today

    Hi Nick.
    I like your attention getter and then how you transitioned into talking about the Folgers history. I think you should try and make your argument clearer and present it more intensely just because as of right now I can’t identify one. I would read chapters 4 and 5 from the book and see if there are some things you want to implement and this should also help your credibility. Last thing you might want to diversify your reference list a little and then you could go more into depth so that your speech can be longer!

    your outline looks great and your attention is amazing. I think you may need to add a little more info to make it flow easier like some bullet points that make it easier for you while your talking

    Hey! This is really well organized and i appreciate the ‘cleanliness’ of it. All of your points are pretty straightforward and I like that one of your goals is to showcase the bigger picture, which is one thing that this project needs to accomplish. I hope you can really flesh these ideas out and i can’t wait to see the finished project.
