Ad #13

  1. I believe that this ad is targeting people who maybe want to have fun or live a fun and exciting life because there is only three words "Live For Now" which could imply that you might as well buy a Pepsi and live a little or have a little fun in your life. and everyone in the ad are seen as smiling or having fun. there's also these bright colors on the ad that also give off the vibe of fun or young freedom.

  2. I feel this ad is really pushing the common ideas of "live life to the fullest", and I also swear this seems like an ad I've seen during the Super Bowl. With that in mind you could perhaps look to suggest that Pepsi is trying to sell the "American Dream" with a cold Pepsi right there with you, as if nothing screams america like soda being associated with everything thing and activity we do, which is depicted throughout this ad.

  3. This advertisement is pushing the idea of self-absolutism. In other words, the idea of doing something solely because that is what you want to do. Pepsi wants consumers to drink Pepsi because that is the ‘different’ or ‘out of the norm’ thing to do. This ad is urging viewers to challenge what everyone else is doing such as ‘drinking Coca-Cola’. Pepsi is empowering users through this advertisement to make their own decisions, or so they think they are, in order to grow their consumer base.

  4. Pepsi wants people to live in the moment and take in every second. They included some pictures of moments that they think people should just enjoy, while also including pictures of Pepsi so they can associate it with those moments. I think the colors they use impact how we feel about these moments in the ad.

  5. This ad shows the aesthetic of living free and looks to have a target audience of young adults. There's Nicki Minaj (concerts), young adults playing in the mud (?)--weird, a girl blowing bubbles (hints at like raves/house parties maybe), and a guy jumping because what screams "live for now" like being flexible and jumping in the air with a basketball(?). I think the pictures and the phrase really captures the audience Pepsi is trying to get.

  6. This Ad feels very straightforward. It is highlighting some of the joys of life. The bold words saying "live for now" over those pictures push that narrative even more. I think Pepsi is trying to broaden their audience by pushing such a basic positive phrase that people will get sucked into because it is a positive message.

  7. Pepsi wants to excite the general population with this advertisement. By including singers, basketball players, beach goers, and a “pretty girl” Pepsi says “drink me for the good life!” “Live in the Moment” is such a popular phrase with college-age people and so Pepsi plays on that message with their slogan “Live for now.”
