I think there are a few different things you could argue here. One is that eating Kellogg's will make us happier. We see in the ad that the couple is fighting at breakfast, however, once they start eating Kellogg's cereal they seem to have made up and now they are happier. This ad targets the people who will be purchasing the cereal themselves, so it is trying to send the message that this cereal provides happiness. Especially with the slogan being "Great way to sweeten up the day", I think that this argument is definitely valid.
