PETA Is Right And All Of You Need To Stop Revving A Dead Porsche

While reading bits from the article "PETA Is Right And All Of You Need To Stop Revving A Dead Porsche." By Summer Anne Burton I learned about something called "speciesism" which is essentially  the idea that humans have a ruling over animals and how they are ethically treated. Burton goes further to say that "Critics point out that the organization has often compared its work to anti-racist movements, which is a criticism I can understand. It’s never a good idea for movements to use metaphors evoking other movements — l hate it when white feminists compare the struggle of being a woman in patriarchy to the struggle that people of color experience in white supremacy. Both can be bad without them being the same, and making that kind of comparison is rarely useful." That being said much of this article is sort of a compare and contrast and the main point being utilized is a weak analogy,  because  we could then move forth to say Speciesism is like ill treatment of humans, the ill treatment of humans is like the same for animals therefore both of these will have the same quality and should be looked at as the same. This is also one sided because the creator of the blog is indeed vegan, there is no one else commenting on this post or perspective of someone who is not vegan and a proud peta supporter.
