After looking at the article, could you also say that the quote: "very quick to dismiss animals such as cows, coyotes, hogs, big cats, etc., having grown up hearing the sounds of such animals." would be an example of supposed facts/truth or something along the lines of that? It's trying to get the audience to not question the legitimacy of the claim because of the argument that because the witness was a farmer, he would know better than the rest of us, if that makes sense.
