Nice analysis Darien. It is very coherent in terms of the direction you are taking in how the ad has it's own sense of power to one specific type of audience. The audience which is younger american boys particularly, and the detouring away from the feminist side in this specific period of time. The ideology displayed throughout the ad which is the class of true "americanism" (if that is really a true thing now) while working within the common characteristics for males only, is the semivalence the ad is forcing upon to the given society at the time.
On this analysis, the ad is trying to attract boys and how they can be in control of the "six million dollar man." They are also in the perspective of the the toy, by what it is like being a six million dollar American man.
