    The people who talk about mothman are people who have seen him. All evidence is visual, describing him as a “winged creature”.

    Many people have seen him, the article states “The creature was sighted in many places across West Virginia and the surrounding states”

    The article states that “Some believe the Mothman may be an angel, demon or the product of a blood curse placed upon the town by Chief Cornstalk, who was murdered along with his son in the area.”, meaning that they assume that’s the origin of mothman.
