Appeal to Misleading Authority

“most animals know to flee when they hear it. Humans would do well to follow their lead.” Using animals as a part of that Authority. We say animals have a sense of when danger is coming like natural disasters for instance, and humans should pay attention more to what animals do.

Poisoning the Well

This site shows images that have been illustrated from ancient texts, and you shouldn’t argue with history. Especially when it comes from such respected books.

Unrepresentative Sample

Their existence is still believed in even with the small evidence given. But we have still yet to discover everything in the world so they could exist right?

Appeal to Ignorance

They might be cannibals which would explain the lack of biological evidence. Manticores are known for eating their prey whole and eating bone, so of course, there would be no trace left of their dead!

Begging the Question

We might not be able to find them know but that doesn’t mean they don’t still exist. History shows us they are real because we have past witness accounts and illustrations from reputable texts.

Slippery Slope

When you have accounts of creatures that exist, and illustrations from history, witness accounts of the creature, then that creature exists.

Red Herring

Somebody can claim that just because something ludicrous like Aliens hasn’t been proven to exist, that doesn’t mean manticores don’t.
