Attention Getter – Imagine this: ~Story time~… For many women in
Argentina, this is what they faced during the dictatorship.
Intro/Credibility- My name. I lived in Argentina
for 6 weeks and while I was there I learned from Argentineans about the mothers.
Thesis – The mothers were able to successfully unite
with one another and gain the world’s attention through their peaceful protests
that generated disapproval throughout the world towards the Argentinian
government.

CONCLUSION
Summary – Las madres de Plaza de Mayo are
Divergent! With all these dynamic aspects of unity, peaceful protests, honesty,
bravery and intelligence, these women were able to turn their suffering into one
of the most monumental social movements, especially for their country.
Conclusion –
Like in the Divergent movie,
these divergent ladies were a hindrance to the government and were sought to be
shut down. However, the women persevered and continue to do so today. The
mothers are continuously growing their legacy and continue to march for the disappeared,
this past Thursday marking 43 years of marching the Plaza de Mayo. The mothers
revolutionized the way that people protest and today their shawl is recognized
as an Argentinian national symbol.
